The Marie-Ann Vase 01 in Red Brown by Marie Michielssen for Serax is a low, wide vase with a flared rim and a strong geometric silhouette.
It's made from red clay with extra chamotte, which gives the unglazed outside a matt, slightly gritty texture, while the inside is sealed so it holds water.
It comes in three sizes, from a compact 13cm bowl-vase to a generous 25cm piece that holds a full, loose arrangement.
