Made to Order and Special Order Terms and Conditions
At North Home (INHEMSK Retail Ltd) we are delighted to help create or source something special just for you.
Made-to-order and special-order pieces are often produced specifically for your home, which means the process is slightly different from purchasing standard stock items.
Before we begin your order, please read the following important information.
1. Returns or Refunds
Made-to-order and special-order items are created or sourced specifically for you.
For this reason we are unable to accept returns or offer refunds once an order has been confirmed, unless the item is found to be faulty.
If a fault occurs, North Home (INHEMSK Retail Ltd) reserves the right to repair or replace the product where appropriate.
Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 remain unaffected.
2. Please Double-Check Everything
Before confirming your order, please ensure that all details are correct, including:
- Colour and finish
- Fabric selection
- Materials
- Dimensions and size
- Any custom specifications
Once your order has been confirmed and submitted to the supplier or manufacturer, changes or cancellations may no longer be possible.
We strongly recommend requesting fabric or material samples where available to ensure you are happy with your choice.
Please note that natural materials such as wood, marble, leather and fabrics may show natural variation in colour, grain or texture. These variations are part of the character of the material and are not considered faults.
3. Delivery Timeframes
We will provide an estimated delivery timeframe when placing your order.
Because many made-to-order items are manufactured individually, delivery times may vary. Occasionally delays can occur due to factors outside our control, such as:
- supplier production schedules
- international shipping
- customs or logistics delays
If anything changes, we will do our best to keep you updated throughout the process.
4. Payment
Full payment is required before we can place or begin production of a made-to-order item.
For convenience, you can still use our payment partners such as Klarna or PayPal where available.
5. Delivery & Safety
Your items will be delivered directly to the address provided at the time of order.
All applicable import duties and taxes are included in the purchase price, so there will be no additional import charges on delivery.
For upholstered furniture, all products supplied by North Home (INHEMSK Retail Ltd) comply with UK Fire Safety Regulations.
If your delivery address changes after the order is placed, please notify us as soon as possible. We will do our best to update delivery details, however additional delivery charges may apply if a failed delivery attempt occurs.
Please also ensure that larger items can safely fit through doorways, stairwells or access points, as many items are delivered fully assembled.
6. Care Instructions
Care instructions will be provided with your items where applicable, and additional information may also be available on our website.
Following the recommended care guidance will help keep your pieces looking their best for years to come.
7. What is a Made-to-Order Item?
A made-to-order item is a product that is produced or sourced specifically after a customer places an order. This often applies to furniture, upholstery, lighting and certain design pieces where materials, finishes or fabrics are selected individually.
Because these items are made specifically for you, they are usually non-returnable unless faulty.
