Matcha is a fine powder green tea made from Tencha. Before, plucking, the tea leaves are covered for 30 days then, after harvest, they are steamed, dried without rolling and then ground by millstone. As the whole leaf is used, the maximum health benefits of the tea can be ingested. Matcha has been cherished by the Japanese throughout the centuries and used as the main part of Japanese Tea Ceremony. This Matcha has been specially selected because of its great taste and hint of sweetness.

Our traditional Japanese "chasaku" (matcha spoon) measures the perfect amount of powder for 1 matcha serving – 2 scoops will do nicely. Hand-made from high-quality purple bamboo. Two things are crucial to making matcha as the Japanese do: the quality of green tea ground to make a powder, and the choice of whisk or chasen for mixing the matcha to a fine froth.
